I Got My Hands On A 350 Roller Cam Motor That Came Out Of A 88 Chevy Caprice Police Car. It Was Complete Minus The Intake. I Have Torn The Motor Down Completely. But I Was Surprised To See That It Is A 2bolt Main Block, Not A 4 Bolt. Iwant Know Would It Be Worth Buying The Splayed 4 Bolt Main Kit From Milodon For $90 Bucks And Than Have The Block Line Bored For The Kit , Or Should I Leave It As A 2 Bolt Block ? I Plan Building A Real Powerhorse, And Would Like Others To Reply With There Opinions If They Have Used This Conversion.
Thanks Jv87z |

If you plan on making some "real horsepower" I would forget about that 2 bolt block and purchase a good four bolt after market block. By doing this would eliminate throwing good money into a block that probably will cause you problems in the future. Remember that the block is the main structure of a good motor. I base this reply on experience, having had several blocks crack on me over the years. After wasting my dollars on "junk" I purchased a block that is good for 1000 horsepower, and I've been worry free every since. Good Luck!

I would leave that engine a 2 bolt. May weaken it drilling it out.
